The Two-Twenty is a boutique fitness studio offering a holistic mind-body experience. The brand is built on the relationship between physical health and emotional wellbeing. Its name is derived from the “220 formula,” developed by exercise physiologist William Haskell and cardiologist Samuel Fox: (220 − age) × 60–90% of maximum heart rate. This formula defines the optimal heart-rate zone for achieving maximum benefits during exercise. Movement increases oxygen flow to the heart and stimulates the release of endorphins, creating a natural sense of happiness and balance. The brand identity visualizes this connection through the intertwining of the brain and the heart: The Two-Twenty effect. A custom pattern was developed to celebrate the relationship between mind and body, resulting in a cohesive identity designed to foster emotional connection, trust, and a sense of happiness across both digital and physical touchpoints. This concept is expressed through organic typography, a soft color palette, and a tactile visual language. The design balances contemporary minimalism with exaggerated descenders that echo the rhythm of movement, creating an identity that feels both dynamic and grounded. The studio proudly welcomes everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. It doesn’t judge, preach, or take itself too seriously. The Two-Twenty is a wellness brand that encourages balance, harmony, and wholeness, both physically and mentally.
