Cairo Milano Design is a digital platform initiated by Fuorisalone.it to foster collaboration, communication, and creative exchange between designers in Milan and Cairo. This visual identity project reflects the intersection of two vibrant cities: Milan’s industrial precision and Cairo’s dynamic, unconventional spirit.The bilingual typographic system draws inspiration from mechanical stenciling and industrial signage, merged with the expressive structures of Arabic script. Letterforms are constructed through layered strokes with deliberately placed gaps—systematically aligned along vertical and horizontal axes, yet also informed by Arabic stroke direction and writing flow. This paradoxical blend fuses machine logic with human rhythm, creating a unique visual language. The use of vibrant yellow—a signature of Fuorisalone—is a nod to creativity, design energy, and visual impact.
